Julian specialises in commercial property, particularly in acquisition (i.e. roll-out programmes) and disposal work, both freehold and leasehold in relation to the retail and leisure sector. This also involves asset management portfolio work.
Additional areas of previous experience include investment, secured lending, development and insolvency property work.
Julian's clients range from high profile national operators in the retail and leisure sectors to large property investment companies.
He also acts for UK food and non-food retailers.

- Advising Tragus Group on the property aspects of the £140 million acquisition of Strada Restaurants
- Advising Tragus Group on the real estate aspects of the £14.5 million acquisition of Ma Potters Restaurants
- Advising on the real estate aspects of the £267 million sale of the Café Rouge, Bella Italia and Ortega restaurants to Blackstone Private Equity. The sale encompassed the entire portfolio consisting of some 180+ properties
- Advising on the acquisition of premises for Cartier at the prestigious Royal Exchange, located in the heart of the City
- Advising Brooks Brothers on the acquisition of a prime retail site for their flagship store, on Regents Street
- Advising on the acquisition of Desigual’s first unit in the UK on Regent Street, London.
- Advising on the lease acquisition for Calvin Klein on Regent Street, London.
- Advising on the acquisition of multi-store properties from Quiksilver franchisees.
- Advising on the proposed acquisition of La Tasca valued at approximately £100 million.
- Advising Academy Music Group on the acquisition of premises in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds and Brighton. Each venue has a capacity of approximately 2,500.
- Advising Brinkers Restaurant Group on a new restaurant in the Galleria in Hatfield.
- On-going acquisition work for Café Rouge, Strada and Bella Italia together with acquisition and management work for Pizza Hut
