Robert works in the fields of: - wills, trusts, probate, inheritance tax and estate planning
- partnership and partnership disputes
- charity law - the formation and operation of charities and non-profit bodies, particularly in the cultural field, and related issues of intellectual property.
His clients include a very wide variety of business people, private individuals, trusts, professional partnerships and charities.
Robert is a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and a qualified and experienced mediator. He is a member of the Association of Partnership Practitioners, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Charity Law Association, and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists
In addition, he is one of the partners responsible for trainee recruitment and management at FSI.
Recent Work
- The nature of his work means that he cannot disclose clients' names, but he has recently advised well-known authors and artists on estate planning, professional partnerships on internal disputes and charities from various faiths on sensitive governance issues.

The Elderly Client Adviser" discussing the provisions of the Solicitors' Code of Conduct 2007, as they apply to practitioners dealing with elderly and vulnerable clients.
Robert has written and lectured on estate planning for authors, charity law and partnership. He also lectures to would-be solicitors on careers topics.
Random Fact
Robert is the chairman of the trustees of a museum engaged in a major development project, and a trustee of a number of charities.
He is a keen woodturner and the founder of the North London Woodturners' Group.
Robert was awarded the John Mackrell Prize and Honours in his Solicitors Final Exams.
