Michael specialises in all key areas of commercial property with particular emphasis on education and property development. He has extensive experience of substantial and complex development projects, including industrial, offices, hotels, leisure, and particularly educational and Michael acts for a number of colleges and universities.
Michael’s experience in construction covers collateral warranties, professional appointments, bonds and other such construction related issues. He has also been heavily involved in joint ventures and additionally advises private companies and institutions on property investment.
Recent Work
- Acting for University of East London on the disposal of its Barking Campus for a substantial sum and on the acquisition and funding of Phase 2 of their Docklands Campus and on the construction of student residential as well as educational buildings at its Docklands and Stratford campuses
- Advising Havering College of Further and Higher Education on its property and planning strategies at various sites and also a number of property transactions on behalf of the College
- Advising Greater London Enterprise Ltd on complex site acquisition and the development construction and disposal of 24 B1 units
- Advising Italian hotel chain on the acquisition and development of a five star luxury hotel in Central London
- Advising a substantial developer on its acquisition for development of a large site in Leeds for a hotel and office scheme
