Gina qualified as a solicitor in 2007 having trained with FSI. She handles a broad range of general commercial disputes in the High Court and County Courts advising clients in relation to contractual claims, consumer disputes, general debt recovery and insolvency matters.
Recent Work
- Acting for a Defendant in a high value, cross-border, metals claim brought by a US company in which we overturned onerous freezing orders and successfully appealed against a decision granting summary judgment
- Representing clients in relation to their oral examinations under the Evidence (Proceedings in other Jurisdictions) Act 1975 in connection with US civil proceedings
- Assisting with the defence of a multi-million pound claim against a property developer concerning alleged defects in a number of blocks of flats
- Achieving a successful settlement figure for an insurance company in respect of a claim concerning negligent advice given by a solicitor in relation to lease renewal proceedings
- Advising an interested party in relation to a waiver granted by the FSA in 2007 allowing banks not to take any steps to process overdraft charge complaints beyond recording that they had been made pending the outcome of the OFT's Test Case
- Advising an international client in relation to reversing a liquidator's rejection of its Proofs of Debt against companies in liquidation
- Providing advice to our international Meritas affiliates concerning this country's legal system
