At FSI we demonstrate our commitment to sustainability by only using FSC paper for all our correspondence and marketing materials. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1993 to support the world's forests. The FSC certification scheme provides an assurance that the FSC content of the paper is traceable to sustainably managed plantations and that any other pulp content will be from a reputable source. We also encourage lawyers and staff to recycle as much of their paper waste as possible.

In addition, we are participating in the Recycle Your Mobile scheme which aims to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC) and, at the same time, helps reduce the environmental problems of increasing landfill and pollution from waste disposal. Recycle your Mobile makes a contribution of up to £10 to GOSHCC for every recyclable mobile sent in. The phones are then refurbished and made available to developing countries where new models are unaffordable.

We are working on reducing our energy consumption by putting measures in place to ensure that all electrical equipment and lights are turned off at the end of the day.

Whenever possible we purchase Fair Trade products and you will see some of these products in our meeting rooms such as sugar, tea and biscuits.
